Lemon Tree Hotels’ Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort, in Kerala, recently received the CNBC Awaaz Travel Award as the Best Budget Hotel this year. The sixth edition of the Awards was held in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). The Awards recognise and honour stellar organisations and individuals who are championing, driving and supporting tourism in India.
The ceremony was presided over by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr K Chiranjeevi, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Government of India; Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of J&K; and Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Tourism & Culture, Government of J&K.
