the current Resident Manager of the Dolder Waldhaus, Marc Lehmann, is seeking a new professional challenge. He will remain with the company until the handover at the end of the year. With Mark Jacob, a professional with a proven track record at the company will be succeeding Thomas Schmid. During the conversion and renovation of the Dolder Grand, he joined the opening team at the beginning of 2007.
As Director of Purchasing, he was in charge of the luxury hotel’s initial furnishing. In autumn 2008, he was assigned the position of Director of Rooms Division. As Resident Manager, he has since acted as Thomas Schmid‘s deputy. Mark Jacob also worked for the former Dolder Grand Hotel, where he held a position in the financial department. Mark Jacob was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1975. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Hospitality Management School in Lausanne (EHL) and later attended the General Managers Program at Cornell University in the USA. Mark Jacob spent part of his childhood in St. Moritz, where his parents run the Suvretta House. During his career, he worked for various luxury hotels, such as Le Bristol in Paris, the Hotel Hassler in Rome, the Turnberry Isle Miami and The Fairmont San Francisco.
