At the moment we're looking for an F&B Associate to join our Crowne Plaza Preopening team at Kochi, Kerala (India). Crowne Plaza Kochi hotel will offer 269 spacious business rooms and suites with panoramic views of the backwaters, and of the City. It will offer variety of authentic culinary choices, extensive spa and leisure facilities. Hi-tech meeting spaces for up to 900, both indoors as well as outdoor-with a tranquil waterfront setting will make Crowne Plaza Kochi the preferred International brand for Business, Leisure and Events.
You'll be an integral member of the hotel's management team, providing expertise and direction for all aspects of the Food & Beverage activities in line with the overall business strategy. You'll report directly to Restaurant / Outlet Team Leaders. This role manages to support the Food and Beverage Service team by performing support duties including mise en place of food preparation, set up of functions, set up of food and beverage equipment, mini bar operations and assisting with the preparation of service. The Key Responsibilities are Mise en Place and Food Preparation Assist with receiving and storage of goods Clean and maintain equipment and premises Maintain hygienic standards and procedures Assist with the preparation of functions and service Assist with cellar operations Assist with the preparation of an outlet for service including: o Cleaning of equipment o Sorting of stores equipment o Cleaning and maintaining glassware for service o Cleaning and maintain flatware for service o Cleaning and maintain china for service o Preparing waiter stations o Preparing buffet service o Preparing service equipment and materials o Assisting with table preparation Mini Bar duties including: o Filling mini-bar trolleys o Checking used stock against issued stock o Replacement of stock in accordance with mini-bar procedure o Recording of replacement of stock o Billing procedures in line with hotel policy o Ordering of mini-bar items o Storing of mini-bar items Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled You"ll be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. Desired Profile Ideally, you'll have Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred, Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency. Able to read and write English. Knowledge of local language and culture is preferred. Pre-opening experience will be an advantage.
