After opening its 100th store in Malaysia recently, Dommal Food Services Sdn Bhd is already looking towards setting up another 100 Domino’s Pizza outlets within the next five years. Datuk George Ting, Executive Chairman, Malaysia and Singapore, Domino’s Pizza International,
said the franchise is now mainly on the west coast of the peninsula and expansion will focus on the east coast and also East Malaysia over the next few years. “We aim to set up stores at the east coast early next year and enter Sabah and Sarawak by the end of 2013. Come 2014, we will have Domino’s Pizza stores in every Malaysian state.”
Given its expansion plan, Dommal Food is looking to set up a new supply base that can cater to up to 250 outlets, which will also serve the east coast. For Sabah and Sarawak, the supply base is being mulled, according to a report in mmail.com. Ting said Dommal registered a revenue of RM 200 million annually with its current stores. “If we were to seek a listing, our profit record will qualify us to be on the Bursa Malaysia main board.”
