NEWS | Taj Hotels may soon ink deal to manage Claridges Surajkund


Claridges group makes Rs 60 cr a year from the Surajkund property and expects a 20 pc jump in revenues with Taj taking over.
The Taj group is close to signing a management contract with arms dealer Suresh Nanda-ownedClaridges group to manage its 287-room five-star hotel at Surajkund near New Delhi. The hotel, nestled in the Aravali hills, will be rechristened Vivanta by Taj from April 1 this year. Nanda confirmed that Claridges is about to sign a contract with Taj Hotels for the property.
A PR agency for Taj said in an email response, "The Taj group is always looking to expand its Indian and global footprint as and when a suitable opportunity arises. However, we do not respond to speculative reports unless there is a signed agreement."
