Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center recently announced the promotion of Neisja Jones to general manager. As general manager, Jones will lead a staff of 100 and oversee day-to-day operations of the 120-room Mainsail Suites and the newly opened 240-unit Mainsail Apartment Homes, located on the same property in Tampa, Fla. Jones spent 11 years as director of sales at the Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center, where she developed group and transient market strategies, directed the team of sales and catering managers and oversaw all marketing efforts.
When the Mainsail Conference Center opened in 2009, she developed a sales team and implemented innovative strategies to maximize the facility. Prior to her work with Mainsail, Jones worked as a sales manager at the Tampa Marriot Waterside and the Marriott event booking center. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Westshore Alliance, Upper Tampa Bay Chamber and the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber.
