Mr Patrick Pahlke has been appointed as the Hotel Manager of Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, effective on 1 March 2013. Patrick, a graduate of Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, started his career with Hyatt at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October 2002 as Sales Executive. Prior to this he has held numerous positions in Food and Beverage, Culinary, Rooms and Public Relations with Forte Hotels, Le Meridien, Mandarin Oriental and the Daniel Boulud Restaurant group in Cologne, Germany, Hong Kong and New York City.
He was subsequently promoted to Sales Manager in 2004 and Associate Director of Sales in 2005. After 5 years of working at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Patrick transferred to Grand Hyatt Beijing in 2007 and where he held the position of Director of Sales. In 2009, Patrick transferred to Grand Hyatt Shanghai as Director of Sales & Marketing and shortly after he was promoted to Area Director of Sales & Marketing – East China.
