Westin Hotels and Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, has opened The Westin Chennai Velachery.
For the MICE market, the property has over 12,600 square feet of meeting and function space, including two pillar-less ballrooms and 12 break-out rooms and a business center, all with Internet access, audio visual technology and ergonomically designed performance chairs.
Located in the business district of Chennai in the Southern part of India, The Westin Chennai Velachery is the sixth Westin hotel in India and the first out of seven new Westin hotels expected to open in 2013 across Asia Pacific.
Located within 20-minute drive from Chennai Domestic and International Airport, the hotel provides accessibility to Guindy business district, OMR-IT corridor, city center and Chennai Trade Centre.
The hotel has 215 guestrooms and suites with pool or city skyline views.
Off from the main lobby is the Seasonal Tastes restaurant, offering international cuisine with live cooking stations. Other dining venues include: EEST, offering Pan Asia delicacies; a bar named Willows; and the open-air Poolside Grill & Barbeque. Meanwhile, the Westin Executive Club is located on the top floor, offering top views of the city with complimentary breakfast, Internet access and evening cocktail service.
