NEWS | Carlson Rezidor announces the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Nizhny Tagil, Russia

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the ten largest hotel groups worldwide, strengthens its portfolio in Russia's regional cities with the signing of a new Park Inn by Radisson in Nizhny Tagil. The mid-market property will be the first internationally branded hotel in this prominent industrial city. Enjoying an outstanding waterfront location in Nizhny Tagil's central district, the Park Inn will include 135 contemporary guest rooms, a 238sqm all-day dining restaurant plus an adjoining 200sqm terrace, a lobby bar, a 375sqm ballroom and 10 meeting rooms.

Additionally, there will be a fitness centre and on-site parking. "Russia/CIS is a key development market for our future business development. We are already the region's leading international hotel operator, and now strengthen our portfolio in Russia to 12,000 rooms in operation and under development", said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO The Rezidor Hotel Group. Situated in the Ural Mountain region, Nizhny Tagil is a significant industrial hub which is home to some of Russia's leading steel and machinery companies.

The hotel possesses a prominent waterfront location on the Tagil Pond and is adjacent to the main pedestrian embankment which is lined with restaurants and cafes. A spacious restaurant terrace will overlook the water and as the only internationally branded hotel in town, the extensive facilities will be the city's premier place for events and conferences. 

The hotel's central location will allow guests to walk to the city's main cultural and entertainment attractions including the town square, Drama Theatre, City Hall, and circus. Ltd. "UBT Hotel" is the investor on the project.

The Park Inn Nizhny Tagil represents Carlson Rezidor's 3rd hotel in the Ural region, adding to the existing portfolio of the Park Inn Yekaterinburg and the upcoming Radisson Blu Chelyabinsk. This signing further cements Park Inn's position as the market leader in Russia's regional cities, and displays Carlson Rezidor's commitment to maintaining the pole position as the largest international hotel operator in the country.
