Schneider, who brings 32 years of hospitality experience across Europe, Asia and the Middle East to the role, joins the Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach from the Magnifique Sofitel Mumbai, India where he spent three years as GM and led the team in the successful opening of the country’s first Sofitel hotel. Having Bernd on board strengthens our regional team and our pursuit of targeted developments in key cities and major tourist destinations across the Middle East.” Born in Germany, Schneider graduated from Hotel and Catering College, Bad Woerishofen and worked throughout Germany, France, Austria and Spain in various food and beverage positions, before joining the Accor Group in 1992. Schneider later went on to hold positions as general manager at Sofitel Philippines Plaza, Manila, as well as regional delegate general manager of the Accor, Philippines.
