General Hotel Management Ltd (GHM) is scheduled to open The Chedi Sakala in Bali at the end of this year. Occupying 2.4 hectares of coastline on the Nusa Dua Peninsula, the 261-room resort will be GHM’s third property in the Indonesian province, following The Legian Bali in Seminyak and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Ubud. The Chedi Sakala will feature 247 suites and 14 private one- and two-bedroom pool villas, two swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club, a lagoon bar and a kids club, a release stated.
The Chedi Sakala will also feature a ballroom, and four private dining areas with prime beachfront views for corporate events and weddings. Neighbouring the resort grounds is Sakala Bali, a 150-seat contemporary French fine dining restaurant.
Leading the group’s newest five-star venture as its general manager is Australian hotelier, Evan Pavlakis, who had spent five years as GHM’s Senior Vice President and served as General Manager at The Leela Goa, and The Lalu Taiwan.
Further, GHM has partnered with Singapore’s Sinni Villas to build the Chedi Nusa Penida in Crystal Bay, also on the Nusa Dua Peninsula. The 100-villa resort is scheduled to open in 2015.
