The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has been named as the ‘Tourism & Hospitality Company of the Year’ at the Gulf Business Industry Awards (GBIA) ceremony held this week, as per a release.
DTCM was recognised for its work in promoting Dubai’s tourism offerings, and in particular for its work on the Dubai Tourism Vision 2020, which was approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in May of this year.
DTCM also received a second award—‘Tourism CEO of the Year’—given to His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General, DTCM. Both awards were collected by Hamad bin Mejren, Executive Director, Business Tourism, DTCM. Source
