One of the awardees of the WB Honours 2013 was Le Meridien, New Delhi, which was honoured in the category ‘Unique Interior Design in Hotel Washrooms’ for its innovatively designed bathrooms with a keen focus on functionality. Each washroom space at Le Meridien, New Delhi – whether it is the facilities in the lobby or meeting spaces, guest bedrooms or even the suites – unfolds a new experience.
The public washrooms are called ‘Loo Lounges’ and incorporate innovative furniture, wood paneling, mood lighting. Guest bathrooms feature warm and enriching Palladio tiles on the floor, with pressure showers and internationally acclaimed fittings and fixtures. Even the walls of the washrooms are clad in mosaic tiles. Complete with ceramic sanitaryware, spacious shower cubicles and accessories to add colour, the suites in the hotel are thematically designed.
