The admission process for the first year of the four-year hotel management and catering technology ( HMCT) degree course will commenced on Wednesday, a notification released by the directorate of technical education (DTE) has said.
Candidates who have passed their Std XII from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent board with a minimum 45% marks and English as one of the subjects, and have a non-zero score in the MAH-HM-CET 2014 are eligible to participate in the centralized admission process. The minimum aggregate score for candidates from backward classes and persons with disability is 40%. Eligible students are required to visit the website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/hmct2014 and use their registered login ID and password to update the marks scored in the qualifying examination and the status of caste/tribe validity certificate in case of a reservation claim. They have to then take a print out of the online filled application form.
