Vivanta By Taj, the upscale brand from the Indian Hotels Company Ltd, has entered South-East Asia with an island resort in Langkawi, Malaysia.
The 35-acre property has come up on the privately owned 390-acre Rebak Island. Vivanta By Taj - Rebak Island is located on one of the 99 isles that make up the Langkawi Island. “We are looking at this region as we want to expand the brand internationally. We are also in talks for a property in Thailand,” said Veer Vijay Singh, COO, Vivanta By Taj.
Vivanta currently has 29 properties, of which 26 are in India and three are abroad — Malaysia, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
