EVENTS | 13th Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble – 17, 18 & 19 September, 2014

The 13th Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble (CHE 2014), a grand event in Hospitality Industry organized by Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BCIHMCT), New Delhi is scheduled from 17th September 2014 to 19th September 2014.

The event hosted in 2013 had over 30 Hotel Management Colleges from all across India who participated in 10 different events related to Hotel Industry. More than 250 participants and 500 spectators were in attendance, and the event was covered by the National newspapers and reputed Hospitality Magazines. CHE 2014 engages the budding hospitality professionals in accelerated learning. The participants will leave with techniques, skills and talents, for improved efficiency in various hospitality fields which is vital to the growth of Tourism and Hospitality sector. The competition will provide an experiential learning opportunity to rising entrepreneurs looking to make their mark on hospitality Industry.

 The anticipated participation would be from 35 Reputed Hotel Management Institutes comprising of 350 students across Pan-India, with Chefs and Managers representing different departments of Hotels in Delhi-NCR as judges for various competitions. The tentative event scheduled for CHE 2014 is Bar-wizard Bar Challenge (a cocktail mix-&-straight competition), Morning Bakery & Pre-Plated Dessert, Regional India Culinary Contest, Indian Festive Sweets And Savory Snacks Competition (a new introduction this year, for reviving the traditional Indian sweets and snacks), Hospitality Brain Twister (quiz competition related to hospitality services & tourism), Hotel Facility Planning And Designing (preparing blueprints and layouts of Kitchen, Restaurant, Guest Room, Mini Bar, Reception and Lounge Area), Petit Fours Or Praline Competition (another addition focusing on bakery skills & knowledge), International Culinary Challenge, Floral Decoration Competition, Fruit & Vegetable Carving, Quick Convenience Food.

 Chief Guest for the Inauguration Ceremony during CHE 2013 was Mr. Gopal Rao, Regional Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Inter Continental Hotel Group, South West Asia and Guest of Honour, Mr. Jag Pravesh Chand Gupta, Training Manager, Hyatt Regency, New Delhi declared the event open. The valedictory function was graced by Mr. Rajan Bahadur, Chief Operating Officer, The Grand, New Delhi, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Deepak Behl, Director Human Resources, The Grand, New Delhi as the Guest of Honour.
