StayWell Hospitality, an independently owned hotel management group in the Asia Pacific region, has set a target of signing 30 management contracts in India by 2017 and operate 20 hotels by the end of the same year.
The next six months will see hotel launches in Thane, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Goa along with Jaipur, which is a major business hub attracting key outbound traffic. Simon Wan, CEO and Managing Director, StayWell Hospitality, said, “We have a good base in North India. The already operational Jaipur and Gurgaon properties have gone beyond the break even and are doing well in terms of revenue per available room (RevPar) and occupancy.
Now, we are looking forward to venture in South West India with our next set of opening in the next six months and East India thereafter.” Rohit Vig, Managing Director, India, StayWell Hospitality, highlighted that Leisure Inn would be the first branded hotel to open in Thane district of Maharashtra. “Destinations such as Raipur and Guwahati also lack in the supply of branded hotels. Thus, after the above launch in the next six months, the StayWell Hospitality Group would head towards a bullish growth in cities such as Guwahati, Sikkim, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon (Sohna Road Sector 68), Delhi (Dwarka Expressway Sector 114), Greater Noida and Agra,” Vig stated.
