A sneak peek at London’s hottest new hotel

The 252 rooms and suites at The Ned feature eclectic nods to 1920s design.

One of the year’s hottest and most talked about evenings, The Ned is the latest offering from Soho House Group. In partnership with the Sydell Group, the American hospitality brand behind New York’s The NoMad and LA’s The LINE. The property is bound to be a hit with corporates, entrepreneurs and vacationers alike, given that East London’s nightlife and Silicon Roundabout are just minutes away. You don’t even need to go out, though—the hotel’s six private banqueting suites can host between four and 200 guests in their elegant confines, complete with antique bowler hat cabinets and tapestries on the walls.

But don’t for a second think the hotel is stuffy. Grab a seat at The Nickel Bar to watch the variety of daily live performances in the centre of the lobby or head to Kaia, the in-house Asian-Pacific restaurant that does delicious poké bowls (London’s social media food sensation Clerkenwell Boy has been a consultant to the restaurant). Try a Reuben sandwich at the New York-style Zobler’s Delicatessen or settle into a sofa at Millie’s Lounge for high tea. Other options include Cecconi’s, a posh Italian restaurant, and Lutyens Grill, a trolley-service steakhouse for members and hotel guests only.
