FAIRFIELD By Marriott, part of Marriott International recently announced their expansion in Kathmandu, Nepal. This marks Marriott International’s entry into Nepal. The company has nearly 850 hotels around the world and is planning to further expand in South Asia.
Speaking to BW Hotelier, Prakash Jayadevan, General Manager, Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu, said, “the tourism industry in Nepal is booming day by day so a lot of International Brands are opening their chain here in Nepal. Marriott is almost 90 years old now and have been around for almost a century.” Jayadevan added that
“Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu is the first Marriott International hotel in Nepal ensuring high standards of service with its fresh, contemporary design, service excellence and great value for money.” The hotel is located in Thamel, a place known as the centre for tourist industry, five kilometres from the airport.
