New Delhi: Debt-ridden Leela Hotels has sought shareholders' nod to sell its properties in Chennai and Delhi. Hotel Leelaventures wants to sell Leela Palace in the prime Chanakyapuri locality of Delhi and the Adywar Sea Face property in Chennai may soon be on the block. The group had last September decided to sell its Goa property to Malaysia's MetTube for Rs 725 crore.

Hotel Leelaventure on Monday reported a net loss of Rs 142.17 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013 mainly on account of finance costs. It had posted a net profit of Rs 209.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to BSE. Net sales of the company, however, rose to Rs 200.63 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 139.31 crore for the same period year ago.
