Property likely to be ready by 2009
Kerala-based hospitality group, Floatels India, plans to collaborate with Sri Lanka-based Aitken Spence Hotels, to develop a new resort at Perumbalam Island near Kochi. The property is likely to be ready by 2009.
With an investment of Rs 50 crore, the five star property is spread over 20 acres. It will have 50 island-facing rooms, a conference centre with a capacity of 300 persons, spa, swimming pool and other activities like water sports.
“We are planning to develop five leisure resorts in the next two years,” informs M R Narayanan, Managing Director, Floatels India. Floatels India currently has two five-star resorts in Trivandrum — Poovar Island Resort and Comfort Inn Grand.
