Hotel Leelaventure Ltd plans to set up hotels in Jaipur and Agra to boost its presence in northern India, its top official said. The company, which owns and operates properties in Bangalore, Mumbai, Kovalam and Goa, expects its Udaipur property to be completed in January 2009, Vice Chairman, Vivek Nair said in an interview.
Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra are popular tourist destinations. "We are in advanced stages of tying up the land for that (Jaipur and Agra)," he said. The Jaipur and Agra hotels would have about 100-120 rooms, while most hotels in the region have about 80 rooms, he said. Room rates in these places are about 20,000 rupees a day, he added.
