Hospitality major Indian Hotels Company on Friday said it plans to set up 6-7 hotels over the next four years under the 'Taj Safari' brand in India.
The new hotels are to be set up by the Tata Group company through its joint venture with South African luxury safari firm CC Africa and Nepal-based Cigen Corporation.
"We are looking at 6-7 new properties to come up over the next three to four years outside of Madhya Pradesh as we already have four properties in the state," IHCL Senior Vice- President (Sales and Marketing) Ajoy Misra said.
He, however, declined to divulge any investments details. Taj Safari runs two lodges, Mahua Kothi (on the border of Bandhavgarh National Park) and Baghvan (bordering Pench National Park) in Madhya Pradesh. It will open two more properties in the state -- Banjaar Tola and Pashan Garh -- in November and December this year respectively.
