NEWS| The Leela Palaces & Hotels & Resorts joins IH&RA

At the Global Hotels Alliance board meeting at the Leela Bangalore, Dr Ghassan Aidi, President, International Hotels & Restaurants Association (IH&RA) announced that Indian luxury hotel group, The Leela Palaces and Hotels and Resorts, will join IH&RA this year.

“With the Leela’s properties in addition to those of the Hotels Association of India and two other institutes and hospitality colleges, India now is well represented at IH&RA,” said Dr Aidi. International Hotels and Restaurants Association is working actively this year to start certifying its hotels members for sustainable development and the Leela Management recognises the need for responsible energy management. It is committed to improving efficiency and protecting the environment. The International Hotels & Restaurants Association (IH&RA) is the only private association representing the private sector since 1945. Recognised by the United Nations, it is known as ‘the voice of the private sector in hospitality’.
