NEWS| Nando's to open 82 outlets by 2012 across India

In a bid to have a pan India presence, Indage Restaurants and Leisure Ltd (Master Franchisee of Nando's International) is planning to open 82 outlets across India by 2012. With an array of restaurants catering to different segments, Indage Restaurants and Leisure Ltd aims to be the largest chain of restaurants in India in the next three years.

Vikrant S Chougale, Managing Director, Indage Restaurants and Leisure Ltd says, “By the end of this year, we plan to open up Nando's at Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi. Eventually, we will be opening Nando's at Chennai and Hyderabad. Initially, we will be focusing on metros. Later, we will branch out in mini metros and cities adjacent to these metros.” The average cover of Nando's is 70 to 100 and the upcoming Nando's outlets will be at malls and high streets. Elaborating on the expansion plan, Chougale added, “With around four different brands of restaurants catering to different segments of the society, Indage aims to be the largest restaurant chain by 2012. Apart from food, Nando's is more about experience and music. Our focus is to provide best chicken dishes with Peri-Peri sauce.
