Accor, a European hospitality chain, inaugurated its second Novotel property on March 14, 2009. The hotel built adjacent to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad in Hyderabad offers 305 spacious rooms.

By 2014, 13 more properties of Novotel Hotels with about 4,000 rooms will be developed in various parts of the country including Benagluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Plans are underway to develop a major convention centre, an amphitheatre and a facility for six─a─side indoor cricket as well. Meanwhile, Accor's third hotel at Juhu Beach in Mumbai is expected to open by September 2009.
