Three hotel chains namely, Hyatt Group, Taj and Holiday Inn had shown interest in bidding for setting up a five-star hotel. As per a state government official, due to certain technical reasons Hyatt Group could not be shortlised.
The Infrastructural Development Authority (IDA) of Bihar finally selected Holiday Inn because of its highest bid to pay Rs 2.25 crore to the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) per month.
