IHG® to Bring Holiday Inn® to Cairns
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), one of the world's leading hotel companies, has signed a management agreement with Taisei Kanko Australia Pty Limited for the 173-room Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside. The hotel, currently operating as the Mercure Cairns Harbourside will undergo refurbishment before opening as a Holiday Inn later this year. It will be the eleventh Holiday Inn hotel in the country.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) today announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Staten Island hotel. With over 50 IHG-branded hotels open in the New York metropolitan area and nearly 15 additional hotels in the pipeline, this five-story, 105-room property is expected to generate nearly 20 jobs on Staten Island.

In order to develop a portfolio of 15 Holiday Inn Express hotels across Australia, Pro Invest Group has established a USD 150-million fund. Real estate firm, Omaxe Ltd will invest Rs 200 crore to develop a Holiday Inn property in Omaxe’s integrated township - Omaxe New Chandigarh. In an exclusive tie-up with The InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), the company will undertake the construction of the 150-room hotel, which will be managed by IHG, and will cater to corporates and the local elite, including tourists.
The coming up of Holiday Inn is a step forward towards creation of a commercial hub in Omaxe New Chandigarh that will house two architecturally superb office and retail spaces – International Trade Tower and India Trade Tower, alongside the hotel.

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) continues to grow its presence in the UK with the signing of three new hotels – Holiday Inn Huntingdon - Racecourse in Cambridgeshire, Holiday Inn Glasgow Green in Scotland and Holiday Inn - Watford Junction in Hertfordshire.
The first of the three to open will be Holiday Inn Huntingdon - Racecourse , a 98 room new build due to open its doors in quarter three of 2013. The hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with HP Hotels Limited who also own Holiday Inn Express Nuneaton.
NEWS | IHG’s Holiday Inn Hotel Expands in Spain
Las Tablas due to open at the beginning of quarter three this year will operate under a franchise agreement with Gestion T3 Hotels who operate four other IHG hotels in Spain. The 133 room hotel is a conversion from an existing hotel, where a renovation project is already under way and is set to provide improved facilities for its guests.
Upon completion, the refurbished hotel situated in a new business district in Las Tablas is set to attract domestic and international business travellers, providing guests with a friendly and efficient service.
