Golden Sands Resort in Penang, Malaysia completes redevelopment programme

The Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La in Malaysia has completed a USD 14 million year-long redevelopment programme. The property has 387 guestrooms. Besides, there are family combo units of two interconnecting rooms that can accommodate up to six persons, 14 suites and 208 deluxe sea-view rooms.

According to a report in asiatraveltips.com, a majority of the rooms have Murphy Beds (pull-down, retractable wall beds) that can accommodate a third person in the room and up-to-date facilities such as LCD TV, DVD player, satellite TV channels, USB/iPod/modem ports in a user-friendly audio-visual panel and free broadband Internet access.
