Royal Caribbean again changes date for Allure’s first cruise

According to a report by Johana Jainchill in travelweekly.com, Royal Caribbean International moved up the inaugural cruise for the Allure of the Seas for the second time in two months. The cruise line is adding a four-day cruise that departs Port Everglades, Florida, US on December 1, 2010.

The new itinerary will feature two days at sea and a call at Labadee, Royal Caribbean's private beach on the northern coast of Haiti. Royal Caribbean International had said on February 8, 2010 that the Allure's first revenue sailing would be a seven-day sailing leaving December 5 one week earlier than planned. The cruise line said that passengers booked on the December 5 inaugural cruise have until April 30, 2010 to choose to be re-accommodated in the same cabin on the new cruise.

Passengers who add the new four-night cruise to their existing December 5 booking, for an 11-day cruise, will receive USD 100 onboard credit per cabin. The 5,400-passenger, Allure of the Seas is sister ship to the Oasis of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship.
