A Motel 6 general manager's on trial this week in Ohio for allegedly raping a housekeeper, the Dayton Daily News reports.
The former housekeeper testified on Monday that her former boss at a Fairborn Motel 6 cornered her in a bathroom and raped her on Sept. 16, 2009, the article says.
After the incident, the man bought her pizza, according to the article. She kept the receipt as a reminder because she can't read or write well, the paper reports.
The jury trial of Hitesh H. Patel, 41, began on Monday at the Court of Common Pleas of Greene County.
Prosecutors told the jury that the woman was afraid of losing her job because she was "functionally illiterate" and needed the job. The woman - a single mother - told the jury that she repeatedly told Patel "no" and "stop" during the attacks.
