An opportunity currently exists for an Executive Chef to join our award winning team on Hamilton Island.
Leading a careerist kitchen team over two brand new purpose built facilities this role requires a seasoned professional with a 5 star pedigree. The iconic Hamilton Island Yacht Club is a destination for those who appreciate excellence and plays host to the several F&B outlets from the new home of fine dining on Hamilton Island, The Bommie Restaurant, to our modern and highly sought after conferencing and events facilities. The Hamilton Island Golf Club offers a stylishly relaxed restaurant and bar within its stunningly designed club house, which captures enviable views of Passage Peak and the sparkling azure Coral Sea.
In the role as Executive Chef, you will be required to oversee both the Yacht Club and Golf Club kitchen operations to ensure a high standard of food service is provided in an enthusiastic, professional and efficient manner. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will ensure that all customer satisfaction, cost and relevant targets are met and the company standards are achieved.
It is required in this role that you posses extensive experience within awarded fine dining restaurants. In particular, experience in a fine dining/signature restaurant at senior level is essential.
Other key attributes required to be successful in this role include:
• Being passionate about your craft and displaying very high standards of food production and presentation
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation (including a confident personality)
• Leading and motivating a team of chefs and stewards
• Being a true hospitality professional dedicated to providing customer service excellence
• Having a high level of physically fitness - this is a demanding role in hot and humid tropical conditions
• Experience in leading a kitchen brigade at an awarded level
