Joly, the current vice chairman of Rezidor’s board, would replace retiring chairman Urban Jansson if confirmed at the company’s general meeting April 13 in Stockholm.
Among the nominees to join Rezidor’s board is Elizabeth Bastoni, Carlson’s executive vice president of human resources.
Carlson and Rezidor have had a strategic partnership since 1994, and Rezidor is the master franchisor of Carlson’s hotel brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
