JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plan, organize, direct and coordinate management activities of the operations in conjunction with General Manager. Provide the team with the resources, energy and enthusiasm to ensure guests satisfaction. Create a climate for openness and flexibility across the organization. Demonstrate and communicate short term and long term focus.
Responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and employee satisfaction and effectiveness and efficiencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial:
•Prepare annual budgets with the department managers in accordance with the business plan.
•Plan and administer policies involving financial management, including revision of forecasts and capital expenditures, ensuring that all operations departments are maximizing revenue and profit potentials while minimizing costs.
•Manage operational expenses to stay within budget guidelines. Responsible for gathering and reporting financial information to the General Manager.
•Ensure that all department managers are following the FOCUS audit guidelines.
Personnel Management:
•Manage the Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front of the House, Housekeeping and Engineering departments in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees; hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance evaluation and resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend disciplinary and termination as appropriate.
•Provide leadership, organizational tools and guidance.
•Establish an open communication system with employees to encourage growth and development of all employees.
•To ensure the employees are well trained in order to provide the best quality service to the guests.
•Serves as a liaison between all departments, evaluating internal and external customer service.
Guest Service:
•Responsible for developing, implementing, and administering policies relating to all phases of guest relations.
•Consistently aim to achieve high Medallia guest satisfaction scores.
•Represent the Hotel in a professional manner in order to maintain the Hotel’s excellent reputation.
•Foster a culture and organizational system that entrench guest service as a key value.
Communication:
•Maintain close communication with all departments.
•Build effective networks and alliances inside and outside the company which benefit the organization.
