JOBS | Director of Training

The Director of Training position is a great opportunity for a talented individual looking to grow with an established organization.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Analyzes training needs, writes instructual objectives, designs training materials, and ensures development and completion of training programs/interventions
Maintains, updates and revises programs, manuals, training materials to ensure they are current with operational procedures
Works with Executive Team and Field leaders in creating training and development solutions
Applies strong understanding and experience of restaurant operations
Strategically plans organize and execute training plans that could span the course of several days to several weeks / months
Oversee Manager in Training program and field implementation projects by partnering with Field Training Manager to manage all training systems and processes
Recommends training strategies and develops learning tools
Adheres to and advocate education and compliance of company policies and standard operating procedures
Facilitate meetings, make presentations, and guide individuals and groups to provide direct and constructive feedback
Strong business partner with field managers to consult and teach skills in the areas of customer service, operational saviness, financial acumen and culinary execution
Represents the Brand positively through internal and external training deliveries
Accountable for fostering a culture to enhance people development, service, and profitability
Forecasts and manages training and development budget, developing alternative actions to accommodate unexpected projects while continuing to deliver basic training initiatives
Works with Director of R&D, Director of Marketing, and Corporate Chef on new product roll-outs
Works with VP of Operations, Director of Operations & Area Directors in establishing new training topics
Acts as liaison between field and corporate office.
Fosters teamwork and builds solid organizational relationships
Performs other duties/special projects as needed
Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years experience in design, development, delivery and evaluation of effective training program or ADDIE
BS or BA in Education, Human Resources Organizational Development/Behavior, Communications or related field
Prior restaurant and/or culinary experience required
Understanding of adult learning
Instructional design or corporate curriculum management a plus
Demonstrated ability teaching or training to various audiences
Strong presentation or delivery experience
Ability to establish solid plans and manage through successful execution
Strong written and verbal command of the English language required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to foster positive relationships with others
Ability to travel within market
