Jumeirah Group announces the soft opening of its first in China, the 5-star Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai.
The 401-key hotel, located at Himalayas Centre in the city’s Pudong area, features four restaurants and lounges, a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor swimming pool. The hotel offers extensive meeting facilities, including two grand ballrooms and a 5,000-sq.-m rooftop Infinity Garden. The interior of the hotel was designed by KCA International, whose portfolio includes the Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel is part of the landmark Himalayas Centre, a spacious new arts and cultural hub that includes a 1,100-seat theater, Himalayas Art Museum and a luxury mall. The hotel is directly opposite Shanghai New International Expo Centre and is close to the lush green expanse of Century Park. The nearby Maglev train station offers swift transfers to Pudong International Airport.
Jumeirah has five more hotel projects under development in China: Jumeirah Hangzhou, Jumeirah Guangzhou, Jumeirah Qing Shui Bay Resort Sanya, Jumeirah Macau and Jumeirah Thousand Islands Lake Resort in Qiandaohu.
