Accor, Paris, released its first-half sales figures on Tuesday showing a 4.4% increase during the first half of this year from the same period in 2010.
Total first-half sales in 2011 were US$4.1 billion (€2.9 billion), with expansion adding US$71 million (€50 million) to revenue and 1.7% to reported growth via 108 hotels representing 13,700 rooms opening from January to June.
In a press release the company said revenue was driven by “ongoing strong growth led by a steady rise in occupancy rates and a gradual recovery in average room rates.”
