Two Chinese developers announced plans on Monday to build a US$1.5 billion (5 billion yuan) hot spring resort in Wulongbei, located in the country’s northeast Manchuria region.
Jilin Hanxing Group, Jilin, China and the China Transportation Construction Co. are developing the Liaoning Wulong International Hot Spring Town, China Daily reported. The 12 sq km (29,000 acre) resort will center on spa tourism features. The plan was given the green light by municipal officials and plans for the resort will be finalized later this year.
