
Simon Casson, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Doha, has been recognised among the Middle East's most powerful hoteliers and most influential industry professionals in the third edition of the Hotelier Middle East Power 50. Named among this year’s top 10 new entrants, Casson enters the Power 50 within the top 30 at 24.
The citation in Hotelier Middle East notes: “Since his regional promotion earlier this year, Casson has seen his hotels through various periods of unrest while also developing upcoming properties and maintaining Four Seasons Hotel Doha’s premier position.”
A 21-year veteran of Four Seasons, Casson's career has seen him spend time in North America, Europe and the past seven years in Doha, Qatar where he has established the Hotel as a strong market leader and the benchmark for intuitive, personalised service and luxury in the city.
With new responsibilities as Regional Vice President, Casson oversees operations in Four Seasons Hotels in Amman, Jordan; Damascus, Syria; Beirut, Lebanon; and Cairo at the First Residence, Egypt, as well as the new Four Seasons Hotel Doha at the Pearl, due to open its doors in 2014.
