Hospitality Career E-Mag: NEWS | International launches InterContinental Tangshan in China

Intercontinental has launched InterContinental Tangshan, the first international five-star hotel in the city Tangshan in China. According to a report in Travel Pulse, the property has 285 guest rooms including Club Floor, Suites and Accessible Rooms. It also features a pillarless Grand Ballroom that covers 1,200 square meters and can be partitioned into three rooms as well as eight multi-function rooms.
The establishment's food & beverage offerings range from Imperial Court featuring Chinese delicacies of seafood, abalone, shark’s fin and bird nest, to Tang Yuan Chinese Restaurant which specializes in dishes from Guandong province. Phoenix All Day Dining offers international cuisine with an open kitchen buffet concept. The room sizes start from 42 square meters and the rooms feature 42-inch LCD television sets, audio video equipment, iPod and iPhone base stations, wired/wireless Internet access and working areas. Guest baths have separate shower and bathtub.
