The Fortune Park Hotels managed 'Fortune Inn Haveli' at Gandhinagar was recently revised by The Ministry of Tourism, government of India from '3 Star' to '4 Star' for a period of 5 years.
Suresh Kumar, president, Fortune Park Hotels told Business Standard, "The upward revision of the star category of ‘Fortune Inn Haveli’ from '3 star' to '4 star' has been a great achievement for us.
” The company has also witnessed 12 – 15 per cent growth in food and beverage business. "In terms of Food & Beverage facilities, the hotel has been showing a very encouraging upward trend of 12-15% growth year on year and due to the excellence in comfort, cuisine backed by warm and efficient service. We are confident that these numbers would increase in the future”, Kumar added. While the property is owned by Gandhinagar Hotels Ltd., it is managed by Fortune Park Hotels. According to Kumar, despite the upward revision of the star category, the enhancement of business in the coming months would essentially depend on the market dynamics. "With the multidimensional industrial growth that the state has witnessed over the recent years, we are definitely expecting commensurate growth in the business in the times to come. The classification therefore is an accreditation of the facilities that are in line with the growth trajectory in that location," he added. Apart from the Gandhinagar property, the company is looking at expanding its footprint in Gujarat, whose recent development is a good sign in terms of opportunities for hotel tie-ups through management contracts, according to Kumar. Fortune Landmark, Ahmedabad and Fortune Park Galaxy, Vapi are the two other hotels in addition to the Fortune Inn Haveli, Gandhinagar. Also, Fortune Park Hotels has another property under construction in Rajkot.
