Jubilant Foodworks Ltd which has the master franchisee of the International subsidiary of Dunkin’ Donuts plans to launch 80-100 stores in the country in the next 5 years. The company is currently developing a robust backend for the purpose, according to a top official.
Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, told FnB News, “We will open the first store in Delhi in next quarter.”
Jubilant FoodWorks also has a dedicated team which will lead various areas of development and to synergise global quality standards and design menu aligned with tastes and preferences of the Indian consumer. Further, the company has on-going efforts to develop areas such as store design, vendor and supply chain management, equipment requirement, brand management and human resource planning. The company believes that there is ample scope of opportunities in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector in the country. Kaul further informed that the company is planning to launch a new factory near Chandigarh. The funds for the same will come from internal accruals as “we have very strong operating cash flows. Hence, no plans for raising any funds,” Kaul said. The company currently has four factories. Out of them, two - Mumbai and Kolkata - are under relocation and expansion.
