Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces has announced its plans to add 100 more rooms to its ‘The Gateway Hotel’ property in Sri Lanka.The hotel has just completed a renovation of its existing 113 Rooms.
Further Vivanta by Taj - Bentota (earlier Taj Exotica Bentota), post its rebranding earlier this year, is undergoing a USD 15 million renovation. Indian Hotels Company Vice-President (Sales) Renu Basu said that the company is upbeat on Sri Lanka. She also said that currently there are two owned properties (Taj Samudra, Colombo and Vivanta by Taj Bentota) and one managed property (The Gateway Hotel, Airport Garden Colombo) in the island nation. Sri Lanka is now the only destination outside India where three of the group's four brands are present, she added.
