Wonderla Holidays Pvt. Ltd has forayed into the hospitality sector with the launch of Wonderla Resort at Bangalore. Wonderla Resort is the first of its kind in India - a luxury holiday resort within the premises of an amusement park. Doubling as a business hotel, it has fully equipped business or banquet halls, a rest-o-bar ‘Red Ice’, a theme restaurant ‘Woods’,
luxury rooms, a 20 metre heated pool and recreation areas for adults and kids, informed a release. Commenting on the launch of this new venture, Arun K Chittilappily, Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays said, “Wonderla Resort is our offering to the many guests who have asked us about stay, dining and conferencing options at our theme park. It will be the first of its kind in India where you have a theme park attached to a luxury category resort. A total of 120 staff have been hand picked from across the country and trained specially to bring Wonderla Resort to life. The amusement park and resort together form a perfect weekend or holiday destination for the whole family.” The 100 cover theme restaurant at the resort offers guests Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. The resort has environment conservation features such as a solar heated 20metre swimming pool, motion sensor enabled lighting to reduce electricity usage, LED lighting, among others. The resort is equipped with an activity area for adults and children with games like air hockey, pool table, to name a few and a full-fledged gymnasium, stated the release.
