As an initiative to promote India and Sri Lanka in the French market, France-based Relais & Châteaux this month has displayed only Indian and Sri Lankan artifacts at its shop, Le Maison des Relais & Châteaux in Paris. The shop is showcasing photos, artifacts, and books on the respective countries cultures to bring international awareness to its seven properties of the region.
The Maison des Relais & Châteaux has been re-decorated to offer visitors a glimpse of the culture, heritage and spice of the Subcontinent.
It also showcases Relais & Châteaux’s six member properties in India, Ahilya Fort - Maheshwar, Neeleshwar Hermitage - Kerala, Sher Bagh - Ranthambore, Shreyas Retreat - Bangalore, The Malabar House - Cochin and The Serai – Jaisalmer, and one in Sri Lanka, Ceylon Tea Trails - Bogawantalawa Valley. "We are very proud to present to the French community and those living in France, our Indian and Sri Lankan members who offer unique experiences such as yoga, and ayurveda treatments in a timeless and tranquil environment away from the city crowd, hiking through tea plantations to uncover landscapes and experience the tea estate culture or be in touch with the wilderness and observe tigers in their natural environment, which are so rare to come by," said Jean-Francois Ferret, CEO, Relais & Châteaux.
