Swiss International Hotels & Resorts has appointed Sheila Nair as the Chief Advisor for its South Asia operations. Nair brings with her over 25 years of hospitality experience. For over two decades she held various senior leadership positions with Taj Hotels,and Jodhana heritage resorts, a venture of HH Maharaja Gaj Singh with association of WelcomHeritage Group of ITC. The appointment comes in the wake of the company’s recent announcement to offer management and franchising options in India and South Asia. The hospitality brand is targeting 50 hotels in the three-star, four-star and five-star categories across India and South Asia by 2017. About six thousand hotel rooms will be added. "Nair’s extensive background in business development, strategy, business planning and creation of new business ventures across various market segments will provide momentum to the launch and growth plans of Swiss International Hotels & Resorts," said Anupam Narayan, Chairman and Managing Director, Swiss International Hotels & Resorts, South Asia.
