Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc is expanding its Aloft brand in India with the opening of its fourth property - Aloft Chandigarh Zirakpur on the Ambala – Chandigarh National Highway. The 175-room hotel is opened in partnership with Urbanedge Hotels,a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of Auromatrix. "Aloft hotels in India have filled the gap between a five-star hotel and a four-star business class hotel," said Kumar Sitaraman, Chairman, Auromatrix Holdings Private Limited. "After the successful launch of three Aloft hotels in India, we are very thrilled to unveil our fourth hotel here. India is an important market for Aloft and the perfect match for the energy and vitality of the brand," said Dilip Puri, Managing Director, India and Regional Vice President South Asia, Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts Pte Ltd. The hotel offers facilities such as a meeting space - Tactic, a state-of-the-art fitness space called - Re:charge, to name a few. Guests can grab a drink at the Re:mix lounge or at the outdoor pool.
