Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced its second property in Tampa, Florida, with the reflagging of Hyatt Regency Tampa as Hotel Tampa, an affiliate of Hilton. Prior to being renamed Hilton Tampa Downtown in 2013, the 521-room hotel will undergo extensive renovations to the guest rooms, lobby, common areas, dining and restaurant amenities,
ballroom and meeting spaces, fitness centre and administrative offices.
"Located in the heart of downtown Tampa, Hotel Tampa expands our presence along the west coast of Florida. This hotel is an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers due to its location near museums, business facilities, entertainment and dining," said Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel features an outdoor pool, fitness centre, Avanzare Lobby Bar and Restaurant and Starbucks Coffee on-site. Business travellers will find 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and a modern business centre, as well as enjoy the convenience of being within minutes of the convention centre.
