NEWS | Mahindra Holidays open two more resorts in Kerala

India Limited (MHRIL), has opened up reservations for two more resorts in Kerala- Club Mahindra Cherai beach resort and Club Mahindra Poovar resort. These two resorts taken on a long term lease arrangement will be completely managed and operated by Mahindra Holidays. Speaking about the addition, Rajiv Sawhney, Managing Director, MHRIL, said, “A year ago we committed ourselves to offering our members more resorts to holiday at and more destinations to choose from. In the last 12 months, we have added eight new resorts and over 500 rooms. Kerala has always been a favourite for our members.

More than 15 per cent of the total member bookings were from Kerala, accounting for over 20,000 member holidays last year. With these additions we are confident that those numbers will go up significantly.” Spread across six acres of beachfront, Club Mahindra Cherai Beach resort offers cottages, villas with jacuzzis, a swimming pool and state-of-the-art spa set on a landscape dotted with palms and tropical plants. Nestled between Cherai beach and lagoon, this resort is fully equipped with 49 rooms.

This is the third beachfront resort in the Mahindra Holidays network. Club Mahindra Poovar is a 71-room resort surrounded by the backwaters of Poovar. The resort offers rooms, cottages and private pool villas. Other facilities include Ayurveda rooms with finest traditional therapies, a swimming pool and full service restaurant. Club Mahindra has also expanded its network extensively across India and abroad – from Goa to Kanatal, Mussoorie, Mahabaleshwar, Baiguney in Sikkim, Kandaghat near Shimla, Kumarakom and Jaisalmer. The last two additions have been abroad at Bangkok and Dubai.
