Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc tied up with SAHMI Hotels to operate its Ahmedabad property under its brand Four Points by Sheraton. This will be Starwood's first managed Four Points by Sheraton in India.
SAHMI had bought the Ahmedabad property from Royal OrchidBSE 0.16 % in April last year.
The 104-room hotel, situated in Ellis Bridge area, will be now operated as Four Points by Sheraton.
"Gujarat is amongst the fastest growing states in India and is an important market for Starwood. The debut of the Four Points by Sheraton brand in the state will strengthen the brand's presence in the Indian market and is in keeping with our goal to continue to expand our footprint in tier 2 markets and in micro markets within larger metros," said Dilip Puri,Managing Director India and Regional Vice President South Asia for Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
